IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • How do I schedule an estimate?
After selecting your floors visit our web site and choose from a wide selection of dates and times we have set up to accommodate your busy schedule. Once we’ve come out and estimated your project, and you decide to move forward our installation manager, will give you a call to get you scheduled.
  • Does my installation have warranty?
YES! We offer a one year installation warranty on all projects we install. Have any concerns after your install? Give us a call and we will make it right!
  • How do I start my installation?
Starting your flooring install can be just as overwhelming as it is exciting and with all these emotions running high we recommend you have a plan in place. We highly recommend that you take the time to prepare each phase of your remodel and list the priority parts of your remodel. Think of all the professionals you will need to hire such as an electrician, plumber, painters. Keep in mind flooring should be the last task you check off your list.
  • How do I prepare for installation?
The first step is always to clear the space. Remove all furniture, rugs and anything else that may end up on the floor. Curtains, wall hangings and other décor should be removed as well. Dust or vacuum to remove loose debris and tuck away anything that you would like to protect from dust and airborne fibers. For hard surface install, large pieces can be moved to one side of the room, and then moved back as the flooring is installed in stages.
  • When will installers arrive?
Tru installation will call you the day before install to confirm your installation and remind you to take care of all required preparation for your install. Not every install will happen in the morning, some scheduled later in the day. As a rule, we give installers time to pick your material at the store load and head to your job-site between 9:00am -10:00am. If the installers are not there by the end of your "arrival window" call TRU Installation.
  • How long will my installation take?
There are several variables that effect how long the install will take such as amount of flooring being installed, if the installers will need to remove the existing floors, if they will need to move furniture, if there is any subfloor repair needed, etc, but most installs are completed in 1-3 days, and larger projects are typically done within a week!
  • What should I expect during the installation process?
The old floors will be removed if necessary once the old floor is removed, we will be able to determine if there is a need for floor leveling. Although installers will cut in the designated area of your choice, we still recommend you store all your belongings to protect them from debris. During this time, the room or rooms the floor is going into should be blocked off from regular traffic and use since it is not a safe area for kids, pets, and even yourself. Installers will dispose of any waste that is made during the installation as well as a quick clean before leaving the job site.
  • Do I need to be present for installation date ?
This is completely up to you! As long as there is a way for the installers to get in you do not have to be there. If you feel more comfortable being there, that is no problem! This decision is completely based on your comfort level.
  • Where do installers set up their work station and cut the product?
Typically the installers will set up their work station in the driveway or back of the home depending on where they are installing the flooring at. They will not bring the saws inside to make their cuts.
